Build a form from a description Link to this section
Choose New form and describe at the top what the form is for and what you need to know, in your own words. Pick the language the form is for, which does not have to be the language you work in, and choose Build my form. Usually within a minute, and a few minutes for a long one, the form opens in the editor as an unpublished draft. You can paste in the text of an existing paper form as the description.
The assistant chooses fitting question types, places short related questions side by side, adds headings and page breaks to longer forms and sets limits when you mention places. It never makes up dates, prices or names you did not give, so check the draft and fill those in before you publish.
Change a form by asking Link to this section
In the editor, choose AI assistant next to the Form fields heading. Stay on Change with AI and describe the change, for example "add a question for the national register number after the date of birth" or "only show the allergy question when someone says there are allergies".
Describe the change
Type what should change, as you would ask a colleague.
Review it
The result lands in the editor as unsaved changes, with the live preview following.
Save or discard
Save to keep it, or discard the changes to go back to what you had.
Questions you keep keep their place in your answers: the assistant changes their wording, never the link between a question and the answers already given to it. Prices, pictures and shared places on options stay as they are, and a placeholder that quotes a renamed question is renamed along with it.
Translate a form Link to this section
Choose Translate, pick the language and the assistant translates the form itself and switches its language to match. It translates the title and description, every question, option and help text, the waiting list, the scheduled, closed and thank-you messages and the confirmation email to respondents. Your own notification email and a custom privacy policy are left as they are.
Keep the original as a copy
Translating replaces the texts of this form. If you want a form per language, make a copy first and translate the copy: the dialog has a button for it. Answers you already received stay linked to their questions either way.
European AI, hosted in the EU Link to this section
The assistant runs on Mistral AI, a European AI company, and every request is hosted and processed in the EU. It only receives the texts of the form you are working on: never the answers you received, never your respondents' details. TinyForms keeps a count of requests for your monthly allowance, not what you asked.
Plans and monthly allowance Link to this section
- The AI assistant is part of the Pro and Business plans, and of the trial of a new workspace.
- Pro includes 100 requests per month, Business 500. Building, changing and translating a form each count as one request.
- Your billing page shows how many requests this month has used. The count starts again on the first of the month.
